Description

Outline on MOTOR VEHICLES ACT, 1988,-

This hardbound single volume outlines the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 by explaining its provisions along with case laws. In order to brief the M.V.Act, the Author Mr. Kant Mani has divided this book into two parts. In PART I, he deals with the provisions of the MV ACT and attempted to explain them section wise with support of important and recent case laws. For illustration, Section 147 of the MV Act explains the "Requirement of policies and limits of liability" and the Author in order to explain this, he first gathered all the legal headings and aspects involved in this section and under which he narrates it as given in relevant case law with citation. Thus the Author has taken much pain to first frame the short headings from the section and then find out the relevant case laws for it to explain. Therefore  a reader of this book can very easily come to an idea of a particular section of MV Act from the case laws given under various short headings framed for it.

Next, PART II of this book contains bare provisions of the MV Act which help the readers to quickly refer the full provision in the same book. In other words, it is not necessary to buy a bare Act for M.V.Act separately.

Then in APPENDIX section of this book, the following important Orders and Rules are given pertaining to Motor Vehicles Act.

(1) Motor Vehicles (New High Security Registration Plates) Order, 2001

(2) Motor Vehicles (All India Permit for Tourist Transport Operators) Rules, 1993

(3) Driving Licence (Conditions Exemption) Rules, 1992

(4) Rules of the Road Regulations, 1989

(5) Overall Dimensions of Motor Vehicles (Prescription of Conditions for Exemption) Rules 1991

(6) Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Regulation of Use in Motor Vehicles) Order, 2001

(7) Central Motor Vehicles (Accreditation of Bus Body Builders) Order, 2012

(8) Rent a Cab Scheme, 1989

(9) Rent a Motor Cycle Scheme, 1997

(10) Solatium Scheme 1989

(11) Specification of Types of Motor Vehicles.
