At out set, I will not hasitate to state that this book is first of its prototype since it combines the three major legislations on civil court side in one book viz.

(1) The Code of Civil Procedure 1908,
(2) The Commercial Courts Act, 2015 with The Commercial Courts (Pre-Institution Mediation and Settlement) Rules, 2018 and
(3) The Civil Rules of Practice and Circular Orders.

Another salient feature of this hardcover book is that it incorporates amendments which have been made in the above three legislations as listed below

(1) Tamil Nadu State Government Amendments
(2) High Court, Madras Amendments
(3) Commercial Court Acts Amendments

which are distinctly shown under relevant section / rule.

This book review would not complete if I do not mention the sincere efforts taken by its Author Mr. K.Selvaraj, a practicing Advocate before High Court, for collecting and citing latest case laws with commentaries. While reading this book, I found that almost all the sections and orders in CPC contain commentaries. This is really helpful for the legal fraternity since the commentaries are based on judicial precedents with citations.

I would commend this very useful and a ready reckoner hand book to the Bar consist of Senior and Junior Advocates and the Bench. For the final year law students, AIBE and Civil Judge exam aspirants, this book would serve as a better option to cater their needs for their exam preparation and future use also. As its publisher M/s. Venkatesh Law House, Chennai has presented this book in hardcover binding, it would long last for years together.

This book starts with a beautiful foreword by Hon'ble Mr. Justice R.Subramanian. His lordship crisply highlighted the features of this book.

In order to conclude this book review, I invoke two lines from the said foreword, wherein Hon'ble Mr. Justice R.Subramanian, has rightly mentioned that "this book would satisfy a long felt need of the Bar. He (Author) has added most recent judgments in the commentary so that the book serves as a ready reckoner."
