It is a set of two volumes dealing with Criminal Evidence.

In volume 1 we have INTRODUCTION TO FACTS WHICH NEED TO BE PROVED; and

in Volume 2 we have FINGER PRINT EVIDENCE TO WITNESSES.

So far there is no such separate Indian books on Criminal Evidence; now this present book fills that vacuum with detailed commentaries and lots of case laws.

The three cardinal factors of proof are (1) Proved, (2) Not Proved, (3) Disproved. Based on this a judgment is written in any case either it is civil or criminal. However the degree or standard of proof much differs in criminal cases since an accused is going to be punished if his criminal act is proved by the prosecution. Therefore a rigid proof is expected while conducting a criminal case as against an accused. The 1st volume explains all these under the heading Facts which need to be proved. The 2nd volume speaks intricately about the Finger print evidence to witnesses.

Thus this is an inevitable book for a criminal side practicing advocate, an investigating officer etc.
