The Criminal Rules of Practice, 2019 - [Applicable to all Criminal Courts within Jurisdiction of Madras High Court (State of Tamil Nadu & Union Territory of Puducherry)

The age old Criminal Rules of Practice framed way back in 1948 and further circulars and amendments in relation to the Criminal Courts have now been repealed by the Criminal Rules of Practice 2019 and the new Rules have come into effect from 01-01-2020 and hence, a new outset for the functioning of all Criminal Courts across the State of Tamil Nadu and Union Territory of Puducherry is all set now.

While we go through, in the first glance, the Criminal Rules of Practice, 2019 notifies 303 rules, in total, an two types of forms, ie. Judicial Form and Administrative Form. There are 84 Judicial Forms and 64 Administrative Forms which is a complete package in tune with the newly enacted Rules.

Thus the present compilation is the need of hour for practicing criminal side Advocates.
